Orangeries Surrey
Orangeries are a form of house extension that are becoming increasingly more popular across Surrey and South London. They take the best parts of a conservatory and an extension and are colloquially described as being the ‘middle-ground’ between the two.
They typically come with a double glazed or lantern roof, which allows plenty of natural light to flood into the room below. However, rather than a dwarf wall which supports large glass panels, an orangery is built with full-size brick walls which are fitted with windows and doors.
As a result, they look very similar to a traditional house extension in terms of aesthetics. However, the glazed roof keeps the room bright, warm and airy. Orangeries are the perfect year-round extension, acting as a garden room during summer and warm extension during winter.
